11.08.04 - HaPe Shop Opening in China | |

Close to the origins of HaPe's production base there is a new shop conception implemented. HaPe started with it's first child-care-shop idea in Ningbo City (China) and more than 500 children plus parents joined on the opening ceremony. The basic issue is to widen the child-care-station-idea (kids can stay 1, 2 hours - while parents go shopping) and teach basic standards in education. |

On this year New York Toy Fair EDUCO Inc. - the sister company of Hape International - presented a great new invention: the WIREWALKER, a funny young toy man, climbing in endless variations along a metal circle up and down. Besides Wirewalker we presented also our new WoodyClick on a playground table. |

With a wide range of new product lines, HaPe International Ltd. faced a great customer feedback. Castles and Pirateships made of MDF, new invented textile lines in fancy fabrics, and the farmlife arrangements were the highlight of this year in Hongkong. |

The Chinese jointventure Spielegut took part on the second international wooden toy fair in the mountainous area of Yunhe. Many products that are produced for HaPe International Ltd. (former Happy Arts & Crafts) were shown on the fair. |

With a great opening ceremony the children of Zhili and HaPe International Ltd.(former Happy Arts and Crafts) celebrated now the official inauguration of their school. A warm and bright autumn sun gave all its support on this helpful and hopefully fruitful investment. |

The donation is named after the grandmother of Peter and Sabine Handstein. She was a warm feeling woman, always caring for others, seldom for herself. She is now the partoness of this school and its pupils in South China. |

20.08.03 - Donated Maria Primary Scool opens doors | |

||||
Silian town in Xinren County, Guzhou Province is one of the poorest regions in China. This school will help to achieve 100% enrollment of children in this area and therefore grow as an investment into China’s social future. The school was donated and initiated by Happy Arts & Crafts (Ningbo) Co.,Ltd. with 300.000 RMB and the local town government with 100.000 RMB. |

Since the opening in July there have been 380 pupils enrolled into this school. The school provides 3 offices and 8 classrooms with an area of 709.42 m2, toilets with an area of 82.5 square meter, flag platform, fence, school gate and other attachments. |

Supporting a Moscow house for parentless children, we donated all our toys to these children in need. They enjoyed to pick up all the toys by themselves directly at the fair. |

17.03.03 - UNESCO-Workshop in China | |

The Toymaker Happy Arts & Crafts, well known as the biggest wooden dollhouse producer and second biggest wooden puzzle producer, organized together with the UNESCO a bamboo workshop. It took place in the East-China bamboo town Anji. About 25 Designers, pedagogs and architects from 17 countries all over the world joined this workshop for 3 weeks. The aim was to develop innovative toys out of the future material bamboo. |

Bamboo has various qualities: fast growing, great stability, flexibility and positive ecological balance. Workshop focus lies – according to Mr. Handstein, the initiator and main sponsor - on the product quality and creation of bamboo toys that give designers the possibility for exchange with the kids in different kindergardens in Anji. |
